Out-of-the-Box Teambuilding Options
Drawing inspiration from the artistic energy of the town’s booming Creative Arts District, Marriott’s Pompano Beach meeting experts have dreamed up new teambuilding and break options, including paint and sip classes, pottery making and open-mic poetry. Other activities designed to get attendees engaged include group beach yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving and a Beach Olympics teambuilding exercise with multiple game choices including sack races, tug-o-war, volleyball and a water bucket brigade. All events take place on the hotel’s sandy beach.
Creative Dining Breaks
The resort’s newest dining breaks also have a healthy dose of creativity. Among the offerings are a Florida Citrus Break with lemon pound cake, grapefruit mint salad, orange panna cotta, mini key lime tarts, lemon cheese cake bites, and Florida orange and grapefruit juice spritzers. The Island Time Break includes tropical favorites ranging from mango, pineapple and papaya skewers to seafood salad puffs and a sparkling lime and mint cocktail. A sampling of the Seventh Inning Stretch Break includes jumbo warm pretzels, spicy chile lime peanuts, mini hot dogs and sodas. And for an international flavor, the Tapas Break includes such delights as melon and jamon, manchego cheese and sliced chorizo, assorted olives and cream catalina.
New Beachfront Development
Parking at the nearby multi-use Pier Parking Garage is expected to open by the July 4th holiday weekend, with the stylish structure’s restaurants and retail following soon after. This will be the capstone of Pompano Beach’s revitalized beachfront.
Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa features more than 8,000 square feet of state-of-the-art space for groups of up to 300. The venue includes the 2,800-square-foot Grand Bahama Ballroom and 1,300-square-foot Aruba Room with oceanfront views, each of which can be divided into several spaces for a total of seven Pompano Beach meeting rooms. The resort’s 3,000-square-foot rooftop Ocean Terrace, with its fire pits and sweeping ocean views, is an ideal setting for memorable al fresco events.
All events are backed by an expert team of meeting and catering specialists and the latest technological equipment and services. In addition, when meetings adjourn, business travelers can unwind and renew with sea-inspired wellness and spa treatments at SiSpa.
