Daily nonstop flights to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport (HND) from its trans-Pacific gateway at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) beginning Feb. 11, 2016 ,announced by American Airlines. Customers can book travel on the new route starting Sunday, Nov. 8.
The LAX-HND flight will be operated with American‘s state-of-art Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. Arranged in a two-class cabin configuration, American’s 787-8 features 28 fully lie-flat Business Class seats, 48 Main Cabin Extra seats and 150 Main Cabin seats. The aircraft is equipped with satellite Wi-Fi to keep customers connected while traveling internationally. Every seat features HD Panasonic touchscreen monitors with a variety of entertainment options, as well as universal AC power outlets and a USB jack.
American‘s new Los Angeles-Haneda service will be operated as part of the airline’s joint business with fellow oneworld member Japan Airlines. Through oneworld member airlines and their affiliates, American’s customers have access to nearly 150 destinations within Asia.
The new service will operate on the following daily schedule (all times local):
Departs LAX at 6 p.m.
Arrives at HND at 11 p.m. the following day
Departs HND at 1:30 a.m.
Arrives at LAX at 6:20 p.m.
In addition to Haneda American Airlines has also announced new trans-Pacific service from LAX to Sydney, beginning Dec. 17.
