Bali is the most popular destination for travelers to experience the authentic Eastern approach when it comes to healing, meditation and rejuvenation.

Bali – Best Destination For Body And Mind Rejuvenation

We all heard it before: the world is a book and those who don’t travel read only a page. Once a luxury, today a necessity − traveling has become a unique part of every individual’s transformative experience. By exposing your heart and mind to a foreign country, its nature, culture, and people, you can experience a shift in perspective or find new dimensions of your purpose in this world. Eight degrees south of the equator, in the middle of Indian Ocean – lies an island that has been a favorite destination of tourists, especially when it comes to renewing a connection with themselves and the world. Pack your bags and charge your spiritual batteries by traveling to Bali. Your body and mind will feel grateful, here’s why.

Tropical beach paradise

Bali offers you many amazing beaches for a rejuvenating experience in the sun. If you want to avoid the places that are too crowded with tourists, consider the off the beaten areas, such as the black sand Lovina Beach near the fisherman’s village. Here, you can enjoy dolphin watching, fishing, diving, and snorkeling. It’s a peaceful place, much different than your fast-paced home city, but it takes zero effort to get used to the serenity it brings to your heart. You can also enjoy hot springs in Banjar just a couple of miles from there. Another great getaway is the white sand Nyang Nyang Beach, although it takes going downhill and uphill until you finally reach it.

Exploring wildlife

For animal lovers, Bali offers a chance to observe and encounter many different animals. From monkeys, butterflies and birds to turtles, reptiles, and elephants – there truly is a lot to see. Seeing animals live, from a very short distance, will make you appreciate life: it’s breathtaking and will stick with you for a long time.

Holistic body and mind healing

In Bali, you can experience the authentic Eastern approach when it comes to massages, acupuncture, and other healing treatments. Wellness industry is very well developed, so you can find spas and reiki healers around every corner. Most of the spas offer the combination of Eastern and Western techniques, so you can enjoy a therapeutic long-stroke massage and deep-tissue massage in one session. You will feel your blood flowing freely through your body, your temperature will rise and then decrease, which will create a soothing and rejuvenating feeling. Treat yourself with a treatment of your choice, you definitely won’t regret it.

Renewing your spirit

Yoga did originate from India, but Bali has become one of the most popular destinations for travelers who enjoy yoga and meditation. The key to practicing yoga lies in its deep connection to Hinduism. Bali has the perfect scenery for it, because you can feel the spiritual devotion of the Balinese and their specific way of life. They practice Bhakti – unconditional gratitude for life, there are religious festivals and ceremonies throughout the year, they take care of around 20,000 religious compounds. Bali is known as the “island of gods” and breathtaking temples can be seen in unusual settings (such as caves or offshore places, surrounded by water), so make sure you visit some of them. In Bali, you can try out many different types of yoga, such as Ashtanga, Hatha, Patanjali, Vinyasa; if you’re already experienced, you can take it to the next level and sign up for yoga teacher training in Bali. Classes in such an environment are dynamic and incredibly rejuvenating, you’ll be surprised how much you’ve managed to learn and how much you’ve changed.

Food for the soul

Balinese cuisine is known for the rich use of spices and local herbs and vegetables. Its specific taste will open up your appetite and make you wonder why you’ve waited to visit Bali for so long. Make sure you try all the reputable dishes, for that authentic local feeling.

Spending too much time in one place can be tiring and slowly crushing your spirit, without you even knowing it. Head out to Bali and prepare to get energized!

I agree on the part that you can relax and “shut off” from your 9-5 job quite easily there, but like most other (touristy) places, you can make it whatever you want it to be. Bali isn’t just for honeymooners and people trying to find their inner zen. Don’t forget about all the oppertunities for surfing, paragliding, hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving… 🙂
